In preparing for a move semi-cross country this week, and this being tax season, I’ve begun backing everything digital once again. I have become a huge fan of Dropbox over the last few months. 2GB for free is a great way to start the backup process. The application itself is great as well. I am not one for a ton of things in my system tray, but the Dropbox icon has found itself a home there and is a great way to get quick access to items I am sharing across my work laptop, personal laptop, home pc, and my iPhone. The ease of integration with the Windows file folders is seamless as well and its easy to access that folder online in nearly every application. The sharing across all these systems is really the void that this application is filling and the functionality itself makes it sticky.

Just caught a look at this app on LifeHacker and had to try it out. Within a couple of minutes, I had downloaded all my tagged photos on Facebook. Great way to pull in some more pics that I didn’t have to put in the digital picture frames and the screen savers. Interesting though how you can pull anyones tagged pictures though. Easy stalker, do you really need those 300 pictures downloaded on your hard drive? Once and done kind of app, but useful none the less.
